How Much Do I REALLY Need For A S5 TII?

Ok, back into the loan game. If I can, I am gonna get a double black TII. How much should I expect to pay for a rebuilt, but not very modded, TII? I don't want stereo, rims, or too many mods. If I can't get the $$$, I am gonna get a SP and rebuild on my lil ol N/A. Or better yet, get the TII, and keep the N/A for a project car!!

I spent $1500 on my '90 TurboII with a blown rear rotor. $1100 on a new engine WITH transmission shipped, and a few bucks here and there on miscellaneous stuff. All in all, I ended up about $3000 plus some of my own labor time for the whole thing.

You can buy it for $5500 from me if you want Just washed, clay bar, & waxed. Greddy turbo timer, OBX exhaust.. yeah..

How much money? Prolly $5k+. Biggest problem I see is that the for sale section on here is the only place I EVER see S5 TIIs for sale.

Well, I am not wanting an engine swap. I find S5s on eBay all the time.

Oh I think $5k-$6k is the most i wil be able to go. Time to go see my loan officer, and get a few extra student loans

I saw an s5 turbo in the Seattletimes on tuesday and it was gone by tuesday evening. It even had a blow apex seal. Those things get snatched up quick. 5k would be my estimate too. Good luck man!

I talked w/ my loan officer today, and it seems I should be able to get as many extra loans as I want, seeing as I can get my school piad for by the "Texas Grant." So, should I try and go ahead and get $5k? Is that a good starting point?

I'd get $6k just to be safe, maybe even more in case you find a REALLY nice modded one.
