Question How much damage will a blown water seal do?

I was interested in a 87 N/A for a project/mess around car. The owner says it has a blown water seal, but he is including a entire new gasket, and seal set. Its 600 dollars, just wondering, if the water seal is blown what would it take to fix? Would the rotors or housings be messed up? What should i look for if i go and check it out? Also it says theres a new tranny and clutch, and the body is good only one scratch...

thanks
rocky

If the seal just went, then you're looking at a straight rebuild.&nbsp the problem with blowm water seals is that it is usually caused by a failing water jacket IN the side housing.&nbsp This added several hunderd dollars for a new housing...

you need to rebuild the motor, cahnces are that his rotor might be warped because he overheated it
