I think yo

I think your wrong. Ive been looking in the autotrader for a long time and seems that S4 go for 700-2000 wile S5 rarely as they come go for around 3000 mid mileage

I want to get 4k for it.

Convertables go for 5-6k if you didnt notice

First of all, mods do not increase value of a car very much (if at all). The overall condition of a vehicle is what makes up most of the value. A good clean interior, semi-flawless paint, good clean engine bay etc. But by all means, list it at whatever is normal for your area.

you just gotta find the right person. Someone that wants a faster car, and wants to do some paint work..
I'm doubting 4K, maybe 3500 with the paint as it is... matters just how bad it is.
I bought my '91 with 55K for 5250, it was flawless though, people DO buy FCs for a lot if advertised... despite what everyone always says on how they go for thousands below bluebook...

Yes. Some fool WILL buy a car for a lot more than its worth. However, myself, Id pay at most 2000 from what hes described. Finding that fool to pay more than what its really worth will take a while. But they are out there.

FYI. I bought my 1986 13B stock, with 110,000 miles five years ago for $2.000. I am second owner and it's a California car. Still runs perfect.

Like someone before said, you don't get your bucks back for mods.

hey

Thnx for the rude coments

Someone here does not know about FCs to well.

The reason why I have to hold the gas for 1 minute when cold is because the TB is modded ported posished. I have no Cold start thermowax nor cruiz control BAC exc exc. But hey this car isnt for an old guy who wants a daily driver. Its for someone preferably smart who wants a FC with an engine hes not giong to worry about and was going to mod the car with stuff anyways.

Im looking for a miata right now and If I can find one with rims , greddy turbo for half of what he put into it I would be exstatic.

shut up. You're the only one that doesn't know about fc's that well. Everyone else is saying your car is worth like 2k.

Sorry Von, but I have to agree with everyone else too... $2K....

Maybe if the paint and interior were good, but figure:

$4K in good to excellent condition for a S5 with less than 125K miles.

Drop $1000 min for paint...(probably closer to $2000, but I am being conservitive)
Drop $500 for interior
Some broke Plastic peices in Interior/ No passenger seat but rear seat in storage bin Great looking custom interior not ricey or raced out.
and what ever you did to lighten the car buy 300#
Drop $300 for AC
Questionable tranny (if it really is the tranny) drop $100
Drop $200-$500 for unable to pass smog in CA (hell you can't even sell the car if you can't get a smog cert)
Drop $100 for idle issues (probably a combo of the light flywheel and the TB mod)
Drop $500 as you are not a dealer an can not charge dealer prices.

so that leaves you $1300...

add $500 for semi-new motor, PD, tape, and TPS
add $400 for tires/rims
add $100 for T2 hood
add $100 for S AFC

everything else is a wash, because you need them just o run the car...

So that puts you at $2400... and any buy will try and low ball you by offering $1800 to start and work up hopefully half way there.

So $2000 is about right on, for California.

Sorry man

hm

Well 500 for interior parts is a little steep. Its just a few pieces of plastic.

S5 89GXLs have gone for 3k even in only decent condition here in Sandiego. Unsmoged

I think 3500 would be a good deal in my opinion

I just have to find someone who wants those parts.

Like I said, list it at whatever price the same type of car usually goes for.

hey

Heres a list

800$ rims and tire ( add 300 I guess )
400$ S-AFC add 100
3000 complete engine rebuild 28k perfect comp add 500
650 for complete RB exaust 200
800 new stereo sony Xplod Stereo system add 300
300 T11 Hood add 100
200 rp underpulleys , filter , and pin sleevs new add 50
700 relocated racing battery with 4gauge and g post 30k on TPS , Red brakes , Belts , plugs ,wires, wraped hosing and Silicone vacume everywere pluss new 12lb flywheel and and clutch add 250
Thiers more

Totall = 1800 bucks.

So if an 89GXL with NO MODS and good paint with 158k miles would go for 3000 bucks than

4800 minus 1000 in paint

= 3800

And - 400 in interior and cat=

= 3400

Hey Ice Mark does this sound Right ?

hey

As you can see I have 4000 in mods not including the engine rebuild

this would bump it up to 6,500 not including misc stuff from kregan and labor for meckanics dealing with other issues nor would it include the body itself its just the mods and engine.

If I were to brake Half of what I spent on it then I should get back 3250 - 3600 if you include the price of the car when you first buy it stock

Does this sound accurate ?
