Yeah, I have heard of mice in the intake/engine bay before, but a lizard is something new. That must've been some sight. I've never had the car fall of jack-stands yet, and hopefully it never will!

I've shorted the positive wire (off the alternator) to the ground on the engine on BOTH my RX-7's.. the '80 race car and my '90 TurboII

Try getting the web of skin between your thumb and forefinger caught in the stud hole of a cylinder head as you're pulling the head off. With my flesh and the stud in the hole the head just stopped moving. Couldn't get the head to move up or down and it hurt like hell standing there trying to figure out what to do. Finally, I gritted my teeth and yanked my hand away. Took out a big chunk, but it was better than having my boss see me like that with the head stuck a couple inches off the block and me stuck to it!

A few years back, some guy was under his car welding and ignited a mostly empty gas tank. He didn't live.

Ouch! I was hoping for stories of rx7 misfortunes, but I guess others are fine as well. Oh, I forgot, one when I was pulling the main pulley off of my 89GXL, my the pulley came flying off, and my hand flew into the little metal wire/needle that points to the timing mark, that hurt like hell, went straight into the palm!

Well the worst I have injured myself in the rex is when I wrecked it. The tranny hit me in the knee and threw my knee into the steering column. I didn't have a column cover so my knee hit this little peice of metal in the shape of a circle and it cruntched a hole there. I bled for hours upon hours and I still have a scar. However my dad has us all beat. He was working on the truck one day and it fell off of the stands and the frame caught him on the head lodging him under the truck. He wedged himself out and went to get a bandaid, when my mom freaked and called his mom to force him to the hospital. When he got back the first damn thing he did was get right back under there and finished what he was doing.

Let's see..

Bigtime burn on two fingertips after touching a bar that had just gotten welded too soon.

ground part of my skin off on my index finger trying to get one of the rollbar tubes perfect, and slipped.

Lots and lots of minor scrapes, especially while in the dash.. Too much sharp plastic! My hands and forearms looked like I was fighting with cats

A couple of gashes in my right hand while trying to get that heatshield out.. That thing is sharp!

and several bloody knuckles from AC removal, and oil cooler line removal.

So far, all I've done is get shocked, I had just changed the spark plug wires, and I turned the ignition to turn the car on, and it ******* shocked me.
I don't know how I got shocked from the key, but I did.
And the car didn't start until I unflooded it :-\
