How much backpressure is needed?

I finally got around to getting my RB heade and presilencer put in my car with some custom pipeing to some mufflers. Besides it being WAY to loud for my tastes it got me wondering. I know piston motors need a little backpressure to run properly but does a rotary? In other words can my full flow system cause any harm to my origional 150,000 mile motor? I'm getting some silencers for my cans but untill then I'd like to know if I have to take it easy easy. Thanks.

no, but if your running a S4 you need some kinda pressure to open your 5th/6th ports.

Why not just use the air pump?

Your RB presilencer has a pick up tube for the split air pipe. Use it. Presilencer gives you the 1-2 psi needed to open the AUX ports.

The header I bought has an air line to open the 5th and 6th ports so I wont have to worry about that. It really only takes 1-2 psi to open the ports? damn.
