how to mod throttle body for use with N/a Throttle cable
how to mod throttle body for use with N/a Throttle cable
only tool used was a 12mm socket and your hands
hope this helps someone
in order to do this your going to have to do the TB mod ( removing thermowax and such things.
after this is done just do the steps as stated in the pictures below and your good to go

The last and only custom work your going to have to do is make a plate to hold the throttle cable pretty simple to do just by looking at the picture you can make it

Note : last image not mine was found on this forum

it's a good writeup, i just didn't like the emphasis on saving money but then again i know a lot of people would love to save a few bucks for any amount of time invested.

people with stock TMIC dont care that the cable runs around the engine bay.
guy takes the time to write the post and take good pictures, I say thank you and wish there were more members like him giving tech advice.

i would assume its so you dont have to buy a TII cable when u do a swap, quick way to save a few bucks, and like previous people have said, when u get rid of the tmic you dont have a ugly cable floating around the motor anymore. sweet write up bro
awesome wright up man, i have a few questions though... if i have the TII throttle body all i have to buy is the NA cable correct? all those other parts are already on the TII TB? i dont quite understand what exactly is changing by doing this? what parts are modified or removed in order to reverse the direction of which the cable pulls? Im going to be doing this mod very soon so just to confirm all i need is the NA cable correct?
thanks again for the write up..i did this today and its a piece of cake.i havent gotten my NA cable yet and i haven't made a cable bracket but modding the TB was easy...i wish i would have known this was this easy a while ago, ive been disgusted by that old 6ft throttle cable that the TII's come with for years. one thing i noticed though is in that last pic it looks like they used the cruise control cable linkage instead of the throttle linkage, i wonder why??
Someone should have come up with something like this about 6 years ago. Lol.
It's a much nicer set up. When the T2 cable gets old and mangled, there is a lot more play in it. This shorter cable will wear much better, and have less play as it gets old.
So it's not just a matter of saving money. It means you'll retain a quicker throttle response as it ages. And it's much cleaner than that stupid meandering T2 cable.
I did it 3 years ago. That last pic in the write up is mine.
