How many of you guys use your RX7 for a daily car?
I've driven mine during my last year (and only winter, never again) in college and three out of four seasons afterward. Now that I have a Honda Insight, my FC is likely going to be relegated to weekends or driving short commutes.
I DD my 1st 2 n/a FC's, until i sold them. my current TII i keep as a weekend/hobby car. but when i DD them, they were very reliable, never left me stranded as long as you keep up on the maintenance.
I think the only problems i had with them over 3 years was a leaky radiator, leaky upper heater hose (very common problem) and some loose/dirty starter wiring. nothing a trip to advance auto parts and some elbow grease wouldnt fix

Mine's a daily driver, as it's my only car...
It's got a GReddy eManage Blue and is tuned for peak horsepower with just an intake and full exhaust and with a little spirited driving every now and then, it gets about 22 MPG.
You can get them tuned to get a lot better I've been told, though.

my FC is my first and ONLY car, so it's safe to say that it's my daily
i'd REALLY like to buy another car for a daily though, just so that i can really FOCUS on putting together some "ultimate" mods... it's just too hard to "fix it up the way i want" while i'm driving/spending gas money on it and risking adding new problems to it... yeah gas mileage is cool when i'm cruising... but once i'm on the pedal, i just watch my gas go bye-bye!!
it's just not PRACTICAL for me to be driving my turbo II everyday (being a broke college kid)... although it's a KICK to drive and it always puts a smile on my face, there needs to be sacrifices made in order to make the car a TRUE weekend warrior!!

I have had three NA since 92, drove pizza delivery for about 12 years, and unless i wrecked them they are get DD's. I am on my third one, and dont think i will ever use another car for a DD. The only thing to worry about is the regular maintance, do it no matter what, and you should get 100k+ with no major worries.
My stock 88 gxl is my daily driver and work car. It sucks I have it loaded with elevator parts but I keep it clean and my company pays all my gas and tolls + half of all repairs. Thinking about getting it rebuilt and ported on their dollar.
