How many O2 sensors?

My error code still reads that my o2 sensor is malfuntioning. So far I've installed a new bosch o2 sensor, and rewired the sensor directly to the ecu. I don't know WTF is up with my ****!

How many o2 sensors do TII's have? My buddies' eclipse DSM has 2. I haven't noticed anything, but he asked me this same question, and left me doubting. Thanks

2? is one a wideband???

hey thats a good idea. O2 sensor alternator
since the o2 sensors create voltage, just make a downpipe with alot of o2 bungs and take off your alternator

hmm maybe not

the stock one is fine. the only difference about the others is they heat up faster. But who needs to use their O2 sensor withing 5 min. of strating the car?

Wait, hold up. What do you mean?

When i start the car (usually when cold) #1 light blinks for a min. or so, then turns off. Is this anyhow related to what you are talking about?

Also my coolant temp. usually runs around 190 which makes me think that I might be running a little rich.

mine does the same thing. The only way I or you can tell if it is bad is to chek your MPG. If it is normal then your ok.

Are you checking the O2 Sensor when It's fully warmed up?

Another way to verify It's functioning Is to have the 2 LED's tied up. (both positives tied together, throw a 1/4 spade connector on It. You will be left with 2 ground wires. Throw a 1/4 on both grounds. Thus leaving you with 2 LED's and 3 1/4 spade connectors).

Now. The way you would normally check for signals from the ECU, you leave the wires In the Green Connector except for one of them. The positive wire. This wire Is fitted In the slot below the 12v Ign.

Have all three wires plugged In. Go for a spirit cruise. You will see 8 flashes - pause - repeat.

I have a seperate LED wire up that Is over 10 ft long, aside from my other set when I want to track codes, that will allow me to have the lights tucked under my Wipers when I want to check the O2 Sensors function...

OBDII compliant cars, have two o2 sensors for each bank of cylinders. One is infront of the cat and one is behind the cat. If you have a V6 or V8 that means you'd have four 02 sensors.

It works with a 02 monitor that makes a sample of the sensor in front and the one in the rear, does some calculating and if the samples fall out of the criteria.......makes the *MIL* or *Service Engine Soon* light come on.

The Bosch is a good sensor. I suspect you have the wire touching ground somewhere. I'd put a digital meter on the output and see if you read b/t zero and one volt when the car is up and running.Positive lead on the output of the sensor and the negative on a good ground such as the pipe that the sensor is screwed into.

Can't you purge the error codes from ECU, then check after you get it rest, to see if the same codes come back?
