how many convertibles were made?

I was wondering if anyone knew how many convertibles were made in a given year. I have a 90 and i was just wondering if anyone knew or where i could find out

i wish thier was a way to find out from the dmv's in the states how many are on the road.

I would guess about 75%, a lot of them were kept in good shape or used as weekend toys.

Most seem to have not be modded too much unlike turbos or 3rd gens, a lot were probably bought by non RX-7 fanatics and dealer serviced.

it does seem like verts are always kept close to stock, they were pretty expensive back in the day and vert owners seem to take better care of their cars than most. my opnion atleast, i see more verts around than turbos which leads me to believe that people bought them for the looks rather than the performance.

my 90 convertible with all the options [ bra targa cover etc. came to 37000 canadian] wich put it into corvette range.

I have the same car. I am not the original owner. The vert is stock and original motor.

Mine is almost stock... the previous owner put a Mazdatrix exhaust in it... cheaper than stock, and I put an open element filter, but still have all the original airbox stuff to return to stock.

I paid high for mine... $7000 just over 2 years ago...

I admit, I bought him as a touring convertible, not a fast convertible... and something different.
