I would guess about 75%, a lot of them were kept in good shape or used as weekend toys.

Most seem to have not be modded too much unlike turbos or 3rd gens, a lot were probably bought by non RX-7 fanatics and dealer serviced.

it does seem like verts are always kept close to stock, they were pretty expensive back in the day and vert owners seem to take better care of their cars than most. my opnion atleast, i see more verts around than turbos which leads me to believe that people bought them for the looks rather than the performance.

I have the same car. I am not the original owner. The vert is stock and original motor.

Mine is almost stock... the previous owner put a Mazdatrix exhaust in it... cheaper than stock, and I put an open element filter, but still have all the original airbox stuff to return to stock.

I paid high for mine... $7000 just over 2 years ago...

I admit, I bought him as a touring convertible, not a fast convertible... and something different.
