How to make FC ALT to put out 100amps?

How to make FC ALT to put out 100amps?

Silver Ninety Three said just change out a couple of things...But I dont really know what they are , how much or where to buy them.

i would just take it to Doug Lenz in Daytona Beach, and fork over the $120 for 135 amps. Alt doens't need to be a good one.

I heard you can up the amps on any alternator by changing the internals, if this is true I want to know also.

I would gladly fork over $120 for a 135amp alternator for an FC.

Odds are you can have the alt re-wound. It's something very common in car-audio circles. Call around to local alternator shops.

ya like liquid said its called re-winding and it not that uncommon. alot of alternater shops cn do it but for the price y not just go with a 3rd gen alt?

That requires some tearing and ripping and bending and cutting.

No one wants to do that to their poor car.

Actually, the reason I don't do it is cause I run a dual belt pulley and don't wouldn't be able to do that with an FD alt.

I dont get a 3rd gen alt because nobdody selz them here and tis pissing me off greatly. When they do have them here people try to sell them for ******* 185 bucks I can buy a brand new one im sure.

FD alternators are like 100 amp correct?
135amp for a nice bolt-up alternator for $120 sounds great

The Shaft Diameter is differnt, You will have to bor out you RB Pulley.I have one on the shelf ready to go

I can vouch for Banzai's FD Alternators...

Top Notch quality and power the Alternator produce matchs my upgraded Battery and Cables. I took the liberty of getting It with a Double Pulley too.
