I have an s4 n/a that im getting rebuilt pretty soon, im just wondering how long i can expect it to last using used housings before ill need to get it rebuilt again.
Engine will be as follows - 5/6 port mod (actuators removed etc), streetport, exhaust port diffusers removed replaced with turbo exhaust port sleeves, running premix..power steering removed, a/c getting removed, other than that everything else will be stock until i get money ( no afc , intake or exhaust)
the person doing the rebuild is actually a member on here, his name is Kahren...anyone have their engine rebuilt by him ? Hes pretty closeby to me (in ct) and does it for a decent price.

There's no way to tell. If it's quality rebuild, it should last forever. Just having used housings is not a key factor in engine life. Most rebuilds are done with used housings.
Like aaron stated, there isnt any way to tell. There are too many variables that can contribute to an engine failure. The way you drive, the oil you use, any non engine failures may cause an engine to blow.

Go talk to him for any concerns you have.
