I start a new job for a local town garage on monday,It is now thursday,I want to swap out motors in my 86 fc n/a.I figure with the removing the all the crap around the engine,It would take at the vary least two days.I stripped the motor out of my 87fc3 in lesss than a day,but most of the intake was already stripped for me "$650 for a half stripped parts car with rotted floors" Oh well I needed a hood and fenders,The car also came with a rebuilt engine with only 30,000 miles on it.Oh yeh one other question how do you test a EGR valve too make shure it's good? Where can I find another one "other than a dealer/stealer"

 

I have swapped N/A engines in one day, just depends how smoothly things go, and how experienced you are with them. As for the EGR, basically just needs to hold a vacuum, and the diaphragm not be torn. Mazdatrix sells them, or if youd like I have a used, tested , working S4 N/A EGR, $20 shipped.

 

Engine swaps... First time took me a couple of days. Now, takes 6 hours..

 

I pulled my engine in about 6 hours the first time.

Although making the TII block a long block from short block has taken me about 5 weekends and I'm still not done.

Damn Vac rack is confusing and the OMP lines ARE BRITTLE!
