How long with my Catco cat last without air supplied to it?

I bought a brand newCatco 3" cat with air tube so I can pass emissions. I also have an electric airpump, how long can will the cat last without air being supplied to it, since the airpump will burn up being left on

how are you gonna kill the airpump? its a mechanical pump that spins at speed directly related to engine rpms.

Its an electric airpump, not mechanical. And no, you wont kill it driving it to get tested by the man..

Isn't the electric pump designed to run all the time anyway?
