How Long Do The Engines Last?

Hi, I have been the owner of an '88 Vert. for about a week...the car is great, from the great looks to the way it drives (even my wife loves it). I had an '84 300zx before the RX-7. With the exception of the power of the Z I actually enjoy driving the RX-7 more, the car is awesome. I am seeing some mixed reveiws about the life of the rotary. How long should a well taken care of rotary (non turbo) last. Thanks.

A well taken care of N/A engine will last for a very long time.....many past 200k.

Care and maintenence for a rotary is vital, very much more so than compared to a piston engine.

take care of it and it will last
