there are hundreds of factors that contribute to this. try to be more specific. some engines last 200k+, some last <1k.

I had an N/A that lasted 220k on the original engine, and I had another with a blown engine @ 60k. Those are the 2 extremes I've seen with my own vehicles. Most of the TII's I've had ranged from 80k to 140k on the original engines.

My Vert is at 134k and runs great. My T2 I had it "rebuilt" when I got it, had 91k and I already knew what I wanted and needed to do to it so I figured why wait.

depends on the maintenance you perform and how often you perform it.

My first '90 GTU, bought new, went 238 K before the rear rotor lost compression.

It should last proportionately to how well you upkeep it (as with any car, specially if you don't beat on it like a cheap ho)

if you search... I remembre someone saying their NA motor had almost 400k on it and they did a turbo conversion on it. It was still running strong..

It could have been a typo.. but the thread would be over a year old.

Yeah, I remember someone having over 350k miles on the original engine, and that was a few years ago.
My first engine died of coolant seal failure at 215k miles. It was regularly run at the track by the PO, which probably contributed to its demise.

miles. And yes, it goes to show that those who claim the rotary sucks are either inept idiots or bad at taking care of their toys.
