How light weight can a fc get with a full cage+engine+tranny+racing seat+fuelcell+all metal doors+metal fenders+AL hood? Apparently you can get one down to about 1900lbs Hard to believe but it is true (did i mention that this engine has about 260hp n/a?... too bad its not a rotary)

you can get most anything down to 1900 and you can get over 260 out of an n/a rotary. either way, it'd be fun.

Too bad it's not your car.

And BTW, the target weight for THAT FC is 2100#, so you can stop the pipe dream of owning a sub-ton FC on the track.

i'm not quite sure why this thread is here. its almost like bragging for the sake of talking. the only "tech" aspect that was added was the fact that an FC (with, for some reason, an unnamed engine) can get down to 1900lbs and still have certain metal (stock) parts, plus a roll cage.
in order to learn something, you might want to add what all was done, or pictures or something. otherwise, i see the post as a "nanny nanny boo boo. look what i have." even though, apparently, its not even yours. so "nanner nanner, look what i can post about."

Yeah I agree, I think he is just being a baby when he is talking crap like, my 260 HP is not rotary... like that really makes anyone want to help him...

He should just apologies and hope that saves enough face for him to post again and not get flamed.

Yep, that's why I don't understand why skunks bothers posting about it.  He might have some distant connection to the car, but putting up this kinda post doesn't get you no where.  It's not his car.

The FC is a purpose-built drift car that is currently using a Honda S2K B20 engine in it.

(just text)

(some pics)

The car did trip 1700 on the scales, but it's missing a bunch of major parts:  windshield, the rest of the drivetrain other than the engine and trans, etc.  The target weight is 2100, so bragging about 1700 doesn't mean anything.

This is a major experiment in the works.  No one knows how this thing will work on the track.  It might be superb, or it might be a flop.

Blah, my streetable FC NA is roughly 2350 ready to race, but it doesn't have a cage or anything. It has 95% of the visible interior still in it, and all the glass, a heater, blower motor, instruments, glove box, stock seats, even carpet! Bwahahahaha.
