how light can you get a TII

I'm working on a budget racer and I'm wondering what weights are people getting their 87-88 TII's down to when they strip them?

The car I'm working on started at 2880lbs with 1/2 tank of gas.

I removed/changed:
51R battery
3" straight pipe off cats
spare tire and jack
rear wiper and washer tank
rubber mat under rear carpet (that thing was HEAVY!)
300zx wheels, 4-5lbs lighter each

This gave me 2720lbs with 1/4 tank of gas.

Right now I have the motor out and I pulled:
a/c pump, condenser and little pusher fan
cruise
cats (replacing with DP and Pre-silencer)
ACV, EGR, subzero tank
airpump
added lightweight flywheel
Charcoal canister
windshield washer tank
airpump muffler thingy
probably 5lbs of grease and dirt
(this was about 90lbs)

Still going to take out the heater core, a/c core, blower motor, stereo and speakers, maybe 20-30lbs more?

I'm leaving the carpet and door panels, and the sunroof. Basically I want the interior to "look complete" while it really isn't. Also I'm keeping the PS and the car has an aluminum hood (most TIIs do, I've only seen 1 steel TII hood)

My goal was 2550-2600lbs, it looks like I'm getting close. Does anyone else have a lightweight TII out there? What does it weigh?

This motivated me to go remove mine. and WOW that thing was heavy. I don't carry anything in my hatch really so I don't care about the cushioning it provides. It was heavy so, into the dumpster it went.

While I was out there I took another 30min and removed my rear washer resivior as well as other loose ends.

Question: How heavy is the rear wiper motor. And can you leave the wiper in place, but just remove the motor? I want to remove as much weight as possible, but I like the look of the rear wiper. I also do not want a hole there.

I have ditched almost everything i dont need, I have removed all the radio/speakers etc, i have had the dash out and gutted out the aircond box and the heater box, so the fan just blows straight thru it all, i have removed all ducting except the windscreen demister, i have no carpet and matting except the sound proofing on the firewall

I have no power steering, no air cond, no air cond controllers etc

I dunno how much it weighs at the moment but i reckon i can drop another 100-150lbs or more outta it still yet, I plan on ditching the glass rear hatch which weighs a freakin tonne, anyone who has tried to lift one of these suckers by themself will know how much they weigh, putting in race seats, possibly stripping some more outta the dash, but have a rollcage to go in which will add a bit more, if i can get it down to 1150kg or less with a tank of gas in it i will be happy, if i can hit 1100kg then i will be stoked.

Have a single 3inch pipe with one muffler which saves a lot of weight too, also have some 16x7 and 16x8 rims for racing which weigh 16 1/2 lbs each.

you can ditch your power windows, the motors are heavy. the non pw door panels are lighter too. get rid of that bracket on top of the motor (the one that supports the ic) the iron air pump bracket (the air pump too)
