How to kill S5 vert alarm??

well i need to kill this damn alarm on my wifes S5 vert. she broke the inside driver door handle and i had to replace with one that doesnt have the plug for the alarm. now everytime i turn off the car it beeps to turn it on and it goes off when i get in it again. i unplugged the trunk and passenger side door ones thinking it would stop, but it didnt, everytime i get in it i have to pop the trunk with the keys to shut it off.

i know it doesnt have the plug up under the dash like the S4's, so how do i kill this ******* thing, i hate it.

thanks for the help

You could pull the 7.5 amp room fuse, but that will also kill your clock and radio. I'd just replace the driver door handle with one that has a plug for the alarm. You can probably find one on this site in the parts section.

Built into the CPU... you can only kill it by unplugging part of the CPU (and of course loosing those functions that the CPU controls).

damnit, i hate S5's... ever since i drove the first one, they just dont feel right, and now this, stupid crap, grr, thanks for your help

if i pull that 7.5amp fuse what all do i lose exactly, i can hook up the radio with custom wiring, thats how i did my car, and the clock i dont care for, if everything else works i may just do that.

Try unplugging the top plug in the CPU, and see if that stops it from arming. I don't remember if it was the top plug or middle one that kills the alarm

Radio, clock will always reset to 1:00 when car is started and will flash along with the door ajar light on the idiot display,(on 1 sec off 1 sec constantly) alarm, and you lose all interior lights.. These are what is affected on my vert, there could be something else I don't notice though. I really wouldn't recommend pulling the fuse because something necissary may be off, but it will stop your alarm.

Icemark, what functions along with the alarm do you lose if you pull that cpu plug?

*EDIT* ALMOST FORGOT. If you pull the 7.5 amp fuse the top also does not work!!!

So yeah I don't reccomend pulling that fuse from your vert.

I think I have an inner door handle with the correct plug for sale if I can find it. I will check tomorrow and make sure I still have it.

that reminds me of when i got my vert. I had it out dropping a friend off as the airport in Jax FLA and I parked the vert with the top down and when I came back outside I just reached over the inside of the door and poped the lock without the key and the damn alarm went off car would not start. I did not even know it had a alarm. So I did not know that you disarm the alarm by unlocking the door with the key so I popped the hood, unhooked a battery cable then put it back on real quick (it killed the alarm and reset the starter disabel) thats old school car thief **** right there. Jumped back in the car drove away barking the tires. All these old people thought I was stealing the car.
