how to install sport wing on vert?

I know how to do it on the coupe but the vert has an extra thickness of metal near where the center points of the wing are.

Ideas ? Pictures of what you did would be helpful.

I'm too cool for a trunk :p haha kidding.

It is pretty useless to me and if I did do it I would have to do it like my t2(steel) hood on the coupe. Use two people or find out if anyone has fabbed a trunk shock for the vert or I'll make something.

In all honestly the trunk gets 1% use out of the whole year like when I go camping. Most other times everything goes in the passenger seat/floor like groceries.

Th only way that you can get that type of spoiler on is to cut it where the trunk seams are so it turns into a 3 piece spoiler...That is IF you still want to get at the trunk.
I would go with a Duckbill type and mount it on the trunk.

I cover both issues.

1. You pretty much aim and shoot with a drill. Easiest with a couple friends to hold the duckbill while you mark the holes where the studs touch the trunk lid. The holes will need to be a bit higher than what eyeballing might suggest otherwise. You drill large enough hole from the inside so you can get a socket through the inner lining to mount the 10mm bold. If you look at my profile, you'll see my duckbill wing mounted.

2. I had a machine shop make me adaptors so I could use struts you can get at most any auto parts store. With the weight of the wing you'll need to replace both struts. Minimum shop labor and material to make 'em is $20 each. The machinest still has the template, so let me know if you want him to make you a couple. Just cover the out of pocket cost including shipping.

Why didn't you say that in the first place?
Flip the spoiler, make a paper or cardboard template, drop it on the car and drill holes.
Get a replacement strut too.

I'm sure you can mount it to the trunk and just let the sides overhang un bolted. Shouldn't be too hard.

All 4 bolts mount up to the trunk. Not the sides.
