How the heck do you hook up a CDI box to our cars?

How do you hook up these boxes to a series V NA rx7? Do they help alot if you just have full exhaust and intake?

Thanx

The fc3s-pro site writeup is fine if you want to use the stock coil on the leading ignition. However, one could substitute 2 universal high-performance coils (such as MSD or Crane) for more performance. Can't do this with an MSD 6AL, need a Crane Hi-6 or MSD 7, but it can be done! If there is some interest in this setup, lemme know, I will write a procedure. Too lengthy for a post, though. Have fun all!

Really unnecessary to replace the coils, unless yours are dying.
You can argue with Hitman about how good the stock FC coils are...

What type is it?
if it it is the two wire lead, like msd (4 wires, two for the input ans two for the out)
take the two input wires asn separate them from teh output wires. on your leading coil there are two wires. Not the wires that leed to the igniter on the bottom and connect directly with the car electric system. the ones under the cover that you have to have a 10 mm wrench, or mabey it was 8mm... any way remove the two nuts holding THOSE wires from the stud in the coils. clip off the brass connecters from the end of those wires and connect them to the INPUT to the CDI box. then you take two circle eye type connectors and attach them to the ends of theOUTPUT wires. then you ground the box in a good place. then you run the power 12v lead. your are done.
go get some new spark plugs and a set of Accel Thundersport wires from Pepboys for $50. while you are there buy a small fine file. use that to open you spark gap about a 32nd of an inch. you are now ready to get more power and better fuel economy.

Why do you only hook it up to the Leading and not both Leading & Trailing?

thanx
