HOW HARD is it to change SIDE BODY PEICES
Hey guys. Right now I own two r ex's. I have a 88 GXL with no motor and tranny in it but body is in great condition and has no dings or scratches in it at all. And I have an 88 Vert with an engine and tranny (both working) but the body in in terrible condition. Some of the side panels and what not need replaced. I would really like to swap out stuff from the GXL to the Vert because theyre fun but I am going to be racing this in our local drift leauge. Are the side panels and everything swappable? It would pretty much have to be the whole thing. I know the rear ends arent because of the vert's trunk but the trunnk is in ok condition. I was goin to be painting the car I decided to stick with anyways so I'm not worried about color. But what would be better. I know the GXL is lighter than the vert, but only by a few hundred pounds too. And some sort of rollcage would be going in either of them anyways. The doors aren't the same either I noticed but the cars aren't here for me to look at either. Theyra 30 minutes away. What do you guys suggest and ARE the side panels in fact switchable and if so how hard is it? Thanks for all your help.

Since it's all Series IV body style (1986-1988), it should line & bolt up just fine. Front & Rear bumpers, fenders, hoods, door skin, etc... Obviously the door frames wouldn't mesh between the vert & coupe.
