Car not starting properly
I have a 87 NA and until recently it would run beautifully, however now it has a problem starting. I get in ,clutch in, turn the key , the engine turns over but it just won't start. This happened about three times so far , the last two times i thought it was the gas, so naturally I went and got some and it started. But the third time I knew i had gas because the I had only started it the second time , not driven anywhere , and had put about fifty dollars in gas or close to theat amout , but it still would not start untill i kept trying and finally it did.(the third and second where a night apart)
Now I believe it has sometime to with the gas lines, or even injectors , but this is my first rotary I don't have alot of experience with it,so can any one out there please give me some indication or any notions you may have as to what the problem maybe.
Thanks

How many miles are on the engine or car? Old injectors tend to leak any fuel pressure into the engine when you turn it off. You can either:
1) continue to deflood the engine (ie pull the EGI fuse, crank, replace fuse, start),
2) get the ECU upgrade discussed on this forum that adds the 1989-1991 auto-fuel cut feature (ie press pedal to floor & crank) to your 1987 rx-7
3) send off your injectors & have them cleaned, rebuilt, & blueprinted to permanently fix the problem.
