How To Get To The Turbo Without Removing Lots...

It seems like the tubing after the AFM to the turbo is not tightened in at the point it gets to the turbo. I have an S5 TII, and I can't even see where it connects in thats how much is in the way. I need to get in there to tighten it, but its like impossible. What would be the easiest way to go about getting in there?

I'm looking at the same issue including a big fat ABS unit in the way.
I have a small turbo external oil leak I can't get to.
So - I think of it as a turbo timer.
If I smell hot oil, it reminds me to cool down the turbo before shutting down.

If you just want to tighten up the TID clamp at the turbo, removing the air pump will give you the access you need.

Yea, I was looking at the big ol' air filter and thinking about how it would be easy with it out of the way. Then I saw the sticker that says "NEVER REMOVE THE AIR PUMP" and remembered that whenever I remove things and put them back in, more stuff gets fucked up, lol

There should be no problems removing the air pump, as long as you put it back how you found it. It's very simple, just a couple of hose and bolts.

You'll never get to the TID's clamp without removing it.

It's just like installing the fan/alternator belt.

I just did it and it wasn't as hard as I expected it to be. Turned out that the loose connection was the idle problem I had been having, so now i'm back on the road.
