How to get cold air to the turbo (minor cutting may be ok if it's safe)
I've got a cone filter and want to put a cold air box, but really, that stock intake going to the box won't do much.. and I've already removed the stock fog lights (they suck).. so basically, I've got a BIG open area (with the FTP lens removed and the fog lights gone) to suck cold air from. Ideally I'd LOVE to put the cone filter right down in there, with maybe a shield in front of it to prevent driving rain from being sucked up.
Any ideas on how I can get into there? I'll probably make an aluminum sheeting box (cold air box) at least, or ideally maybe even make a whole cold air intake system, going straight into that big gigundo hole. Or maybe even worst case, I can make a non-cylindrical "pipe" that goes through somewhere into that area, to gather up some air.
So.. I'm looking for ideas.. I know one guy moved his radiator back and did some custom work.. it looked cool, but that's not an option for me.. I'm gonig 3 rotor eventually.

Just buy some prebent pipe and cut it to the lengths you need to get the filter down there. And you are probably talking about Scott, www.1300cc.com You can do something similar to that pretty easily.
If you can live without your windshield washers, pull the reservoir out and cut a hole in the fenderwell there. Then use a mandrel bend to go into the hole and stick the cone onthe end. It will wind up in the fog light hole.

I thought u meant radiator fill neck thingy. nm me then
bump I don't think thats scotts engine bay his cold air intake is in front of his FMIC....if youcan find my engine bay pics thats basically how mine is.. and when Idrive on the free way and come to a stop and feel my TID it's nice and cold!!!

It just requires removal of the bumper.. how hard is that? Anyone have a writeup? My stupid manual sucks hardcore.. instructions "Remove bumper by removing screws.. installation is reverse of removal"

its not too hard, but quite tedious. You have to get in b/w the fender and the wheel and reach through to get I think 4 bolts from each side. So you have to take off the fender liners to do this part. There are some other easier bolts to get to right on top along the bumper. Its pretty straight foreward.

I think you can get the reservoir off just by pulling the fender liner out, but I can't remember.
