How To:Fog lights on when park lights on

I did some searching and couldn't find any write ups on how to make your fog lights work when your parking lights are on, so thought I would take some pictures while I did it...

**I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU, ATTEMPT AT YOUR OWN RISK!**

Remove the part that holds the fog light switch in the center console, it should just pop out with a small screw driver, but be careful, the plastic has degraded over the years. If you have the auto adjusting suspension, you can use that for your power, if not I would have used the ash tray light. If you do not have the auto adjusting suspension then you must remove the ash tray along with the cover over the stereo/air vents. I did it in this order....Unscrew the shift ****, pop off the shifter cover, pull out the ash tray, undo the two phillips bottom screws, pop the cover out a little on the bottom, the vents should pull out or try to push it out from the rear, and there are two more phillip screws in the top that you can get to once the vents are out. Then the rest of it should pop off. Carefully pull the wires off of the cigarette lighter and the bulb socket comes out with a quarter turn.

On the fog light switch, the red wire w/ black stripe is your incoming positive wire. Which turns into a light green wire after it goes thru the connector. This is where you need to connect another positive 12v source.

If you are using the auto adjusting suspension light (which comes on when your parking lights are on) then you want to use the red wire w/ green stripe.

If you do not have this, then the ash tray light will work just fine...

I put a quick connect thing that accepts a male plug onto the red wire w/ green stripe on located on the back of the auto adjusting suspension.

If you are using the ash tray light, just do the same thing and use the red wire w/ green stripe.

Then made a jumper wire to connect that to the light green wire on the back of the fog light switch.

Tape up the other end of the light green wire so that it will not short out against anything else.

Tape up your connections, make sure everything works, also make sure your fog lights work with your headlights on. If it does then put it all back together.
