I have a 3 month old cat but I still failed my smog. It's a magnaflow.
Is it true that the heat of the car will kill it? The car isn't being driven much at all.

 

they dont kill cats that fast.. what mods and stuff do you have done to the car?

no way heat better not. cus i shoot flames out my exhaust and the inside of my exhaust glows red. and i passed way below standards. they hung my results up cus they said it was like it had the results of a new car.

 

guess I just need to do a tune up then

damnit, i was gonna say that you have to aim with the tire, then it kills them pretty quickly... beaten...

 

They also get rather upset if they wake up in the engine bay while you're starting the car. Though whether it kills 'em has to do with what fan you're running.
