how does the turbo xs bov sound from rx7.com

im looking for a little louder bov....OK, a lot louder...but I don't feel the need to "waste" 250 dollars on a apexi, or greddy, just for noise....im not running a billion psi, my stock one is probably adequate....

Anyway, I was just curious if anyone bought the kit from rx7.com The turbo xs for around 120 dollars... Does it sound good? I was also wondering how hard that kit would be to install....

thanks for the info....

I have the Turboxs Type H. I like it a lot. I has a quick loud pssshhheeewww sound. It was easy to install and well worth the money. It's pretty loud at my stock boost and would be much louder for you. Here's a pic-

Remember when people bought BOV's based on their price and effectiveness, and not about sound?

The device is there to prevent air from slamming into the turbine inlet, not to sound pretty. Stop watching that movie.

I realize what the device is there to do.....Why do we put wheels and **** on our cars....We LIKE IT!!!!! What the **** is wrong with that?? Im never plan on a aftermarket turbo running 20 psi. I going to just finish up my exhaust, port my wastegate, and set it to about 9 psi. ****, the stock bov will probably be more than adequate for this. However, I would just like a little louder sound a little better than stock. Im sure even the turbo xs for 120 dollars is BETTER than stock, yet why do I need to pay 300 dollars to release 6.5-9psi of boost....I doubt my turbo will blow up unless I buy a 300 dollar bov.

I got a turbo XS type H on my Turbo II. I like it. But It doesn't sound as fancy as HKS or GReddy. I can really care less.

When it is blowing off the air, it sounds like changing impact guns on an air compressor. It doesn't make the fluttering noise you hear from greddy or HKS. Remember,
"all go, no show"
-This is my motto.

Enjoy,

-Ty
