How does cruise control work?
Just got my car up and running.
I was trying on long playground road to try and get the cruise control to work but can't for the life of me.
Could someone properly tell me how to set it?
Thanks

What year Rx? S4 had vacuum assist cruise and S5 had electrical. You just need to make sure you have all of the components hooked up correctly. Did you add it or was it there stock?

Okay, here's exactly how to activate the cruise control:
Drive to around the speed you want to set it. Push the round button on the cruise switch to turn it on. It should light up.
Then, give it some gas, and when you reach the speed you want to be at, push the button on the end of the switch without letting off the gas to set the speed. Let off the gas and see if it works.
Also you can pull the lever down to temporarily disable the cruise if you need to slow down, if you keep it down it will set your cruise lower. Good for when the interstate drops speed limits.
To disable cruise, either push the main button again to turn it off, hit the brakes or hit the clutch.

I've also found that if you push the button when it's actually 2 to 3 mph faster than you want to go it works better. Like...setting it to 65 mph don't push the button until you are at 67 mph, then when you let off the gas it drops to 65. Maybe it's just my car that does that...
Also, if you have a problem with the cruise control bucking...kinda like it's flooring it, then braking, flooring, then braking, check your TPS. I thought my cruise was broken until I set mine.
