how do you ziptie the 5th&6th port

Has anyone done this on a FC N/A engine(13B)? if so where do you attach the zipties too?

First, why do you want to do this?

Second, S4 or S5? It makes a difference.

Third, on the lower intake manifold, you'll see two things sticking out in the front and rear, with cylinders attached with pushrods. Those are what you'd want to move and ziptie, if you were so inclined.

first, mine arnt hooked up and ive heard from a couple of people it adds more power on the low end around 4k RPM but it takes away a little on the high end, but mine arnt hooked up so either way im getting more power.

second, S4

3rd, now that i know where there at what do i tie them too? to keep them open. Like where do i wrap the ziptie around

If you wire them open you will lost quite a bit down low, but gain quite a bit up top. I reccomend you just fix them, that way you get good low and high.

If you are still convinced that you have to wire them open read this:

I might just fix them. Is it hard to hook them back up? i dont have the hoses connected. Is this likea 2 hour job or is it going to be a all day thing?

depending on yer skills... it could take a helluva long time.

ok, wiring them open will NOT increase power, it will only decrease low end torque. You have to actually REMOVE the sleeves/actuator rods in order to increase top end.

thats to much work, i got a manual ill see hwat i gotta do to reattach the hoses. Im sure someone i know can do it if i cant.

If i take anything apart ive always been able to put it back together. This shouldnt be any diffrent.

question....

ive heard this before, i dont know if its true or not

but i have a custom exhast, about 2.5 inch piping straight from the motor to the STOCK mufflers

will the stock mufflers provide enough back pressure to open up the 5th and 6th ports?
