How do you know if your rottars are warped or apex seals are bad?
I recently watched this video:
and I was thinking about taking that sucker apart lol I have all winter to mess with it. I have a 1986 N/T also if i were to take it apart and find that the rotars are warped or apex seals gone how much does it usually cost to get decent condition replacements?
P.S. I know this has probably been asked a million times in a million different ways just too lazy to go hunting through the 2nd gen specific....

Is the engine currently running well? If it is, there isn't much to gain from rebuilding. It will cost you at least a few hundred assuming everything is in perfect condition.
Do a compression test and that will give you a general idea of the engine's overall health.

I think you mean Rotors.. Engine Rotors don't warp. Brake Rotors do. Housings Crack. And side Irons can warp. Apex Seal can break. Seal kit is like 450 500 basic. replace Oil control Orings the orings springs most likely can be reused along with the Hard ring set the Orings sit in. Replace side seal springs. Side seals most of the time can be reused. Apex seals check specs if they are not Damaged. They might be reused. Replace apex seal springs. Check Rotor Bearings make sure they are not SPun out of the Slot. Also check bearing wear. If You see no Copper you should be fine.
Check Irons make sure they are good. and check Seal Grooves make sure they are not broken.
