simple way to tell a NA from a turbo trans is the bellhousing on a NA is part of the trans, where the bellhousing on a turbo trans bolts on.

when you pull the tranny off you'll be able to tell if it is na or turbo for sure by the flywheel. The NA flywheel has raised mounting pads versus the turbo flywheel does not. They are both two step flywheels to machine tho.

In regards to the ribs on the tranny the NA tranny should be a smooth case versus a ribbed case on the t2.

Also how is your starter mounted. If the solenoid is on the bottom of the starter (relative to the ground) then it's a turbo tranny and flywheel. If it is the other way (solenoid on top) then the tranny and flywheel are na.

The fill hole thing is also a surefire bet

I'm sure enough differences have been listed, but the TII also has a removeable cover on the bottom, while the NA does not.
