how do i tell if my compressors working?

hey, my AC doesnt work (the compressor doesnt come on) i need to know if my compressor is dead or if all my refridgerant leaked out

how do i test the compressor/the refridgerant?

if there is no pressure in the system it is designed not to run. So if you press on the valve and nothing comes out then it is empty. If you jump out the low pressure switch you can see if it runs, however I am not sure if it is the one next to the condensor or where it is.

you need to get some gauges on your system to check the pressure. Ideally you would have a full manifold gauge set that can read high or low pressure, but if you get one of those refridgerant bottles with a gauge on them it will tell you what's on the low pressure side. If you're reading 0 then you're definately empty.
