how do i put on a turbo on a non turbo RX7
I just bought an 87 Masda RX-7 non turbo. It has about 70,000 on it and i paid 1900.00. I want to put a turbo on it, or even twins, but i dont know anything about the rotory motor. I need to know what parts i need and if i have to do any engine mods. oh and i would like to know what all of this will cost.
thanks.
thanks.

Prepare to pay an extra 5k, for any decent turbo set-up. (Ballpark estimate) You realize that your maintenance costs every year will jump after you put on the turbo?

why are you wanting to turbo it so much? since its your first 7 and also your first rotary, why not keep it N/A and learn to like it for what it is. and also use it got get familiar with rotary engines and the maintenance they require?

It's so much cheaper to just buy a good condition TII. Keep the NA and keep it nice and clean, then save some money up for the TII, and use it as your weekend warrior, while your NA keeps your DD going good.
learn to drive the NA RX-7 first
then look for more power in a TII
^ That's Great!
But hey, how about a few pointers for the OP.
Look no further!

Just get two of these! or three!
Or search and save your pennies.

or buy a T2 engine and swap it in, it is by far cheaper, easier and more headache free than trying to turbo an n/a engine.
had you searched and researched this would be very effin obvious!

People fail to utilize that portion of the forums. Its kind of annoying coming into the 2nd gen section every day and reading 3-5 different NEW threads with the title "how do I turbo my NA?"
