How do I put the convertable top motors in "neutral"?
I am having wiring problems with my '88 convertable, and I don't have sufficient time to trouble shoot the issue, as my RX-7 is my daily driver at the moment. I would really like to be able to put the top up and down, and I heard you can put the motors in "neutral" which allows you to move the top by hand. Could someone explain how to do this?
I have the spare tire cover panel off, and the panel that covers the convertable top motor partially removed, but I can see a screw on the motors that has it's own hole in the cover, so I'm curious as to if that is the screw which would disengage the motors. Don't want to take more apart than needed. (Although I did find my missing suspention top plastic cover lodged down in there)
Any help disengaging the motors so I can do the top by hand would be appreciated. Thanks.
