Exclamation How do i get rid of that buzzer that tells me when to shift?

I would like to know if i can get rid of that buzzing noise that tells me when i'm at 7 grand... For some reason when i take a right hand turn going more than 20mph it decides it wants to buzz at me... its getting very annoying.... so if you know the best way to do away with that thing... let me know

thanks

maybe you should check other things like oil and coolant. Do any idiot lights pop up when the buzzer turns on?

that same buzzer does other things, could be a brake issue or coolant issue.

it's most likely a buzzer for the oil or coolant it goes off alot when i'm drifting. maybe you just need a louder exhaust

yes, that buzzer also goes off when the coolant level is low or oil level is low.

you probably have cold solder joints in the idiot cluster so you can't see which is actually low, pull out and resolder the idiot cluster circuit board and check all of the bulbs also. on top of that check all of your fluids..

Like karack said your bulbs could possibly be burnt out. It's probably your oil buzzer, tight turns will slosh enough oil that the buzzer will go off.

FC owners... i loath the day that FD's get cheap enough that the owners start pulling fuses instead of fixing things. or tossing on a carb because they cant fix EFI.

Most likely low oil or other low fluid. When the fluid is almost low and you make a turn it sloshes to the side and the sensor thinks it's not there.

Better check it.

The buzzer is for the following

1. Redline
2. Low Oil
3. Low Coolant

It will go off during the following situations according to the previous numbered list.

1. Roughly at/above redline

2. Immediately when the car senses that it has low oil. When your oil is near the absolute low point, it will go off during a turn when the oil shifts and the sensor sees the the oil is low. If the oil is properly filled, the shift won't matter and it won't go off.

3. After ~15 seconds of the car constantly sensing low coolant via the coolant level sensor. It WON'T go off due to a turn unless you're in a sharp turn that lasts quite a while (long on/offramp maybe). Definately not what you're describing.

My suggestion. Go check your oil level.

You have LOW OIL! Go top it up before you ruin your engine.

And read your owners manual. The redline buzzer also warns of low oil and low coolant, with a matching warning light on the dash.
