how do i get my car to shoot flames????
Well my car doesn't shoot flames, I don't think, but it does back fire pretty good. What I did was replace the mid-section of the exhaust where the stock precats (2) and the main cat are. Run a single hi-flow cat and eliminate the restrictive precats. Now you'll be wakin' the neighbours.
A friend of mine, Abe, told me..."if you want to shoot flames, use this type of spark plug". I think it was a two stroke plug. I will have to ask him what type of plug.
He knows....he builds spec7 cars (used to for FREY)....and is a serious rotorhead.

N/A or TII?
N/A: Header, racepipe, and high flow mufflers(Apex N1)
TII: Downpipe, midpipe, and same high flow mufflers
Rev the car to redline, let off a bit, then gun it, or just downshift from like 4th to 2nd going like 50 mph. That should shoot some flames. A n/a will give a quick burst, but a TII will produce some nice rolling flames.

I have a bonez race pipe with custom mandrell bent y pipe, but i am still running on stock mufflers..I can't get the fireball affect that is everyone is talkin about.
The broblem lies in your mufflers and y pipe. Both are too restrictive to have the desired effect. I am currently investing in a Bonez race pie and either Racing A or Apex N1 single muffler.

I thought about that, but then realized I would get the same "ricer way" remarks as I am seeing here.
One thing to remember guys, the ricer way is bad. Yes, I conceed that. But, I am poor and can't afford to lay out $1000 in exhaust components to properly set this up.
Here was what I thought to do, with the spark plugs. Drill some holes in the tips (one per tip), right where they leave the muffler. Do this topside obviously to avoid damage to the plugs. Mount a coil in the rear near the plugs. Grab some old plug wires, bound to find two acceptable ones from the four you just replaced with 8.8mm wires
, and run them to the plugs.
Wire a push button into the power lead going from the battery to the coil. Ground the coil and have it setup to constantly spark. Push button, and BOOM! Flames should come out if you redline then let off the gas. The hardest part is to get enough fumes roiling out the mufflers to ignite.
With cats, impossible. Gut those S.O.B.s
