how do i fix?

Way to adjust hood lock?
Ever since I got my Aluminum hood, I have to slam my hood down just to get it to close, why? Do I have to adjust something? Is my spring to stiff?
Or should I just go with hood pins and take out the rest of the crap?

Screw it....go with hood pins. the locking type are really secure and you could get anodized in cool colors.

Just my thought

ALuminum is alot lighter, so maybe it needs much more force because it dosent have the extra weight that falls quicker. Just my opinion, I could be way the **** off

There is something to what rice says. It takes more force to close an aluminum hood than a steel one. Make sure that the latching mechanism is working well and is well lubed. If the hood lines up all the way around and all the gaps are basically even, I would think the problem is with the latching mechanism or the amount of effort you are expending to close the hood.

On a aluminum hood you should not be forcing the hood down. You will dent it.

To close the hood lower it until it is about 1 foot above the radiator, then drop the hood. It should lock into place just fine. If it doesn't then you need to re-adjust the clasp.
