How do I figure timing on an RE motor.

Okay so I am swapping in a 2 rotor cosmo engine into my FC.
The motor was assembled and I picked it up. It's now in my car.
But now I need to reinstall the front pulleys....
Well how do I know what rotation to install it at to assure the proper timing read.
There are 4 bolts, 10mm, on the main pulley.
We failed to make any markings on the motor before the pulleys were removed.
So now what??

there is 2 groved marks in the pulley... very tiny and hard to see, but theyre there, get a small paintbrush or something and paint the 2 grooves. and now you have timing marks. it shouldnt matter where the marks are when you install the pulley, as you have to adjust timing when its all put together anyway

Mat thanx for the info about painting the timing marks but I already know about that. It was probably one of the firt things I learned to do on a rotary engine....

If you get all the bolts in, then its the right way. It will not bolt up any other way... You might get one or 2 screws in but the rest wont align.

Cause one of the four bolts is offset by 15-degrees.
So the pulley(s) only fit one way.
