i just got a 88 rx7 and i need some help with a couple problems i have. First off how do i disengauge that built in alarm??? My locks need to be replaced so i have gutted the car and last night i set off the alarm by entering through the trunk and unlocking the door. I would love to know how to control it or just cut the wire, it would be very helpful thanks guys.

You just have to unplug it. Its in the passenger side of the car under the glove box and behind the speaker cover/holder. Look at a haynes or a Factory service manual and you should be able to find it easily.

Yes it will be a gold box about 4x4" with a large white plug with lots of wires, just unplug it and it'll be done.
