I have a HKS intake filter. I would like to clean it but I dont know how. I have the K&N filter cleaning kit but HKS is foam and K&N is cone. I dont want to risk damaging my filter.

 

HKS megaflow intakes have gel impregnated into the foam. Over time the element will go through heat cycles and the gel will dry out and become brittle by nature eventually becoming a hazard of being sucked into your engine.. You will need to buy a replacement element.

HKS recommends replacing the element with a new one.
