Exclamation How do I check if my warning buzzer works?

I have a serios concern- I have not seen my shift light- I bought a new ECU and it flashed it AFTER I shifted-heh- and I put my old one on and it doesn't work either.
Now, I need to test if my warning buzzer works or not- is it connected to the shift light? Where is the shift light signal coming from that I am not getting it anymore? I have a fresh motor, what happened? It DID work....
Plus, Now I see I have a leak between the rear iron and the oil pedastal...
Is this gonna take me all day to fix, I am supposed to be in atlanta tomorrow night.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

There is only 3 reasons why you would ear the buzzer. Try redlining, disconnect the coolant level sensor (on top of the rad) and disconnect the oil level sensor.

Where is the oil level sensor? Redlining is a nono, I have less than 200 miles on this engine...
Thanks!

Unplug the coolant level sensor - it's probably the easiest out of the 3.

It's the sensor with the only wire sitting on top of the radiator.
The sensor should have a connectors a few inches away from the sensor itself.
Unplug the sensor and wait 15 seconds after you turn the ignition ON.

Thanks, I'll try that..Since I have your ear, I have a cold start issue I cannot find info on, it seems like an idle screw adjustment, but I dunno- My motor runs fine warm, but I need to hold the throttle open a bit to keep it running cold, this was after someone fiddled with the idle screw on the trottle body, th on on the trottle linkage on the front of the engine and what he said was the rich/lean adjustment by the pressure sensor- the screw that has the R-L symbol....he did that warm and now it has cold start issues...just didn't want to start another thread...
ANd also, what is up with my shift light? Is that connected to the buzzer at all?
