how did you ground your injectors?

i installed the rtek 1.7 with 720cc injectors and now i have a hesitation when the secondaries on at around 3.5k. i didn't have this problem with the stock 550s and was told that 99% of the time it's bad injector grounding. i added extra grounds to pins 6g and 3a on the ecu. it seems to have helped but the hesitation is still there. how did you guys ground your injectors to make it go away?

You DO NOT "ground" the injectors. Ever.

Yea if you grounded your injectors they would be stuck open at all times. You want to upgrade or redo your stock grounds and perhaps even add grounds. Check the archive.

hey there i am having the EXACT same problem....i installed the rtek 1.7 and it started hitting a wall unless i was boosting at 3.5k.....i had replaced the tps and had NO hesitation problems whatso ever...

i had posted about this a while back and people blew me off so....i also was wondering if i should maybe ground the secondary injector harness??? i seem to think that they only turn on if they get a strong enough signal or something please let me know....i leave for school in 2 days

what do you mean by ground the injector harness? The injectors are supplyed with 12+VDC, and the ecu mosfets drives the injectors be grounding them for the required pulsewidth.

id recomend adding a fat ground from engine to engine bay, the small one in the back of the block to the firewall gets coroded over time and doesnt work very well. that can cause some of the hesitations

IIRC the stock negative battery cable goes from the battery and to the starter with an additional cable that splits off to the driverside chassis on the frame rail.
