How-To Cruise Control Removal

On a S5, how does one remove the Cruise control completely (actuator and cable) w/out messin up any other functions of the car?

Unplug the CC computer, remove the actuator cable, and unplug and remove the actuator.

where is the CC computer located?

The CC computer is on the drivers side, near the fuse box. It has one bunch of cables near the top, and is held in by two 10mm bolts.

You dont have to remove the kick panels to get it out either -- I did that, it was a waste of time.

what about the vacuum cord? I looked behind the wheel well on the drver side behind the ignition coils, and i saw two boxes..one had N350 on it, and the other had something ilke B11x. which one is it?

It is inside the car. between where the fuse box is, and where the door is, you have to put your head near the floor and look up toward sthe left. Mine was goldish and had some slants on eitehr side of it.

ohh..inside the car..that helps a ton! i was lookin in the engine bay!
