how to convert non turbo to turbo without new engine

i have an 86 gxl and the car and motor only has 87,000 miles and i was wondering what all i could do to put a turbo on my engine without buying a new engine. like what all parts i would have to buy and all that crap. i need help. thanks

Actually, you can. It is very costly and labor intensive though.

Even with 87,000 miles, turbocharging is a bad idea, it definately needs rebuilt before you think of forced induction. I personally think you should stick with N/A, tear your motor apart and get porting done and rebuild it. Your engine will have the same HP as a turbo engine, but will be far more reliable and will definately cost less than turbocharging.
