how to check timing???????

how to check timing???????
after I changed this engine, it's always up-down even idle and runing
I think should be timing's problem so how can i check it?

Hook up timing light to leading and align yellow mark=5 degrees. Hook up timing light to T1 red=20 degrees.
Idle 750.
