How to change fuel pump filter in s4 vert?

hey guys I searched but did not really find an answer. Is there a write up anywhere to change the fuel pump filter(sock?) on a s4 vert? Is there any special precautions i need to watch out for?

spray the little screws holding the unit on with some pb blaster or something before you try and get them off, they are a bitch.

unhook fuel pump sending unit plug
remove feed/return fuel lines from sending unit
remove little screws holding sending unit on
take the fuel pump sending unit out
remove old sock
put new sock on
reinstall fuel pump sending unit
put feed/return lines back on
reconnect plug

have a beer.

Driverside in the trunk. You'll probably have to pull off some of the plastic liner to get to pump unplugged. It's really an easy job though. It just sounds like it could be a pain.

its in the same location as the coupe. and just blast those ******* with PB and tap them with a hammer. Also word of advice to all you out there thinking of meeting these screws from hell change them out for bolts and remember to change that gasket! that gasket will stop the pump from giving you proper flow.

if the pump cant build up pressure it wont push the gas out.

I don't think it'll be anything compared to ripping out the whole back interior of a vert to install suspension, now that's a PITA! Well ill probably do it tommrow after school, thanks guys!
