Try dropping it quickly from a standing start. If it chirps the tires and bogs...its still grapping pretty good.

Chattering, slipping at high rpms and there's always the awful burnt clutch smell.

A simple test that has worked for me is to drive the car at about 30 mph, push in the clutch pedal, put the trans in 4th gear, rev the engine to about 4,000 rpm and dump the clutch. If the clutch is good the rpm will drop rapidly (almost bog) . If the cluch is starting to slip the rpm will gradually drop and you should smell the clutch. Don't do this more than once or twice.

if its slipping, proabably clutch, if its not going into gear when you press the clutch, its the Clutch Master/Slave cylinder...
newer clutch I presume? or did you not replace it when you swaped engines?

You can't see into them...................you take them off.

There's 3............... 2 of which are under the car.

like already said, see how it takes off when you dump the clutch. also sometimes you can tell by where the clutch engages on the pedal. mine right now is worn out and just before it started slipping, i could be at full throttle and just touch my foot to the pedal and it would slip
