I have never heard of anyone actually buying one of these. I imagine someone has, but that was probably for racing, which would be the only "performance" reason to buy and install one.

Unless you have bought EVERY other thing available for the FC your money would be better spent eleswhere.

A lot of people have thm. Many people buy them for appearance since it gives your car a lower stance kind of look. The RE ones were actually tested but i'm not sure about the copies.

I love mine.. I havnt really noticed any performance gains with it, although it looks really nice in my opinion. Thats the main reason I installed it. . The fitment on it is perfect as long as you have the brackets that bolt it up.

Ill take better pics of it tomorrow if anyone is interested

Surprisngly, I get really good gas mileage on the highway. Im not sure if it has to do with the diffuser as I never compared when it was off. But I did make it from vegas to barstow (about 200 miles id say??) with less then half a tank of gas. My car makes a lil bit more power up top due to the T70 I had on it though. At 70mph cruising the whole way, I barely had to do more then tap the gas to keep a constant 70mph.

EDIT: Oh and it comes with brackets that bolt right onto the gas tank brackets I believe. They match up perfectly though. My car is pretty low though so it sometimes scrapes on speed bumps. If i back into my driveway it will scrape a lot.

did you buy your car from someone already modified like that? I think I saw it for sale, but man....not to be a dick but you car is beautiful, but get the Pep-Boys wheels off of it.

The old owner used to have some SSR's on it. I say a nice low offset Enkie RP-01 would set that thing off!

I got one of the shineauto replicas. I haven't installed it and probably won't get around to it for a few months. But, from what I've read the RE-Amemiya diffuser has been tested and proven to be functional. My guess is you won't really notice any increase in performance until you are driving at a fairly high speeds though. Shineauto's replicas are 99% the same as the Amemiya one since it is from a mold of one. Plus they are a whole lot cheaper, which is nice for a street driven car that might need to have its diffuser replaced or repaired in the future.

If it's a real RE one then there is no need to question it. It will look and perform great. The copy will probly work well too since they seem to do a pretty good job and making the parts. I plan on doing some road racing with my car once I get out of debt lol. I definitely plan on getting one. Only really helps during highspeed driving.

Yea them wheels arent lookin good on it at all.. but they look better then some stock 15" gxl wheels that the car came with. I had those from my old TII from about 5 years ago so I threw them on. I was going to try and get the same wheels the old owner had on it but nah.. Im defintly going to spend some money on the wheels though. Theyll defitnly make the car. I was just going to leave the car the way it was and fix little stuff that needed fixed, but Im addicted to speed and so my journey began to the 500whp mark . First thing I had to do was get that BIG *** T70 turbo he had on it off.. the car was a slug with that thing on there. 1.15 rear housing and that big of a compressor housing does no good on stock ports AT ALL! I put a S4 stock turbo on there and ported the wastegate and the thing was waaay faster with that turbo then with the T70 at .5bar. Now I just have to many mods to even list at it. And with Steve Kan coming to vegas in march im sure i wont have any problem at all getting my 500whp goal.

Now back to the topic:
Ill go out and take some pics of the diffuser and everything in a few more minutes.

cant knock ya for going speed first. That turbo sounds like it belongs on a Mack10 truck. Well its a very nice car, keep her clean cause I wanted to buy that thing but I do track events and well I would be afraid of messing up the molded body, plus the vert is heavier than my turbo base model.

Uh... Didn't the previous owner of the car (that sold the FC to you) install it in the first place? The previous owner did all the work on the car.

NO!! He did FAR from all the work thats on the car now!! I installed the diffuser.. and no, the OLD owner did the other body mods.. Ive changed over about 6k in parts in it so far. Including rebuilt and ported engine. Greddy turbo kit, Greddy FMIC, Greddy type RS BOV, 2.75" IC piping, sx performance 1000hp fuel pump, sx performance FPR, Steel braided lines from the tank up to the engine bay and back to the tank, Every fitting is AN. AEM Wideband O2 sensor and monitor, New custom 3 1/2" DP. New fuel rails, 1680cc injectors for secondaries, 1000cc for primaries, I just got off the phone with speedmachine from ordering a haltech E8 with the Group buy on this forum, New TII tranny. New Greddy oil temp gauge, water temp gauge, oil press gauge, and EGT gauge. Oil filter pedestal for the sending units. New TII seats. and lots of miscellaneous interior parts.

So without all those parts does it sound like the old owner did all the work? I dont think so.. I'm not sure if your aware of this.. but a car is A LOT more then some paint and a body kit . Ask anyone on here that has power in there car if they got that power from a body kit and paint, I bet ya 10 bucks theyll tell you no.

EDIT: I forgot the Apex'i AVC-R boost controller
