I did a conversion to TII, the old n/a pump had a gold kind of body cover . The TII was just black. Don't know if thatwill help but that's the biggest difference I saw on the pump. Didn't check the number.

there is probably a way of telling by removing the pump and checking it against others (take it to your local rotor repair place)

or if you have a pressure checker for the fuel lines, the 88 service manual says the pressure for each are:

4.5 - 6.0 kg/cm2, (64 - 85.3 psi) n/a
5.0 - 6.5 kg/cm2, (71.1 - 92.4 psi) turbo

The 89 TII fuel pump I have was exactly like the pump it replaced in my 90 n/a. Check the part numbers on it to be sure. you shoul dbe able to see a number on the fuel pump.

If you pull the pump assy out of the car, and then pull the pump from the housing, you will see the numbers imbossed in the black plastic on top. On a 86????N/A pump in my hand right now, I have the numbers 195130-0091-1F and on the bottom inside a oval the alpha numeric A3. Now just call the Mazda dealer and ask him what the number should be and compare the results.

Yeah, I got off my ***, and went out to the garage and dug it out,
the part number for the TII pump is 195030-0270 zf
that is from an 87 TII, not sure if its the same across the board on all TII's..Max
