how can you tell apart a s4 and s5 LSD?

how can you tell apart a s4 and s5 LSD?
so i just got a lsd from the junk yard for 120 bux and they didint know exactly what year it came from..i wanna make sure its the clutch type..so my question is how can i tell from looking at it that its a s4 lsd and not a s5?

JUst pull the thing apart and take a look. Its only 10 12mm bolts, slide the axle stubs out, and pull apart. If you dont know what your looking at as far as the LSD goes, post some pics up, or I even think I have a few pics of a visous/clutch, and even torsen LSDs for comparison.

This isn't a fail proof test but it's worth a shot:
On the lower drain plug on the S4 clutch type, there is a tag that says something like "rear diff clutch pack requires a friction modifier". The S5 viscous type does not have this tag.
If you have the tag, it should be an S4.
If you don't have the tag, it could be an S5 or an S4 with a tag missing. Good luck!

thanx alot for to the 2 last guys that posted...i would much rather just look on the bottom of my lsd and see if the bulge has a split that going and taking the cover off.i know taking the cover off isnt hard and i can tell a diffrence by looking at it...but the whole reason for this thread is so i wouldnt have to do that...once again thanx to everybody who helped with the info
